Aligarh City: Indian Habitat

Abstract

Role of a city in economical growth of the country is very important as the world becoming increasingly urbanized. Potential of urbanization of a city development depends on growth and opportunities. Planning and Architecture play main role in economic development of the city. In this paper, we will discuss about the development of city Aligarh i.e. how Aligarh developed as a city, role of architecture in the development and what was the configuration of various spaces in the city, and how the socio-economic factors effected the living of the people. We are going to show the present conditions of Aligarh city with this descriptive research.
