Abstract

Engineers have often found it difficult to build on black cotton soil (expansive soil) because structures sitting on black cotton soil crumble without notice. In India, areas like Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, and Maharashtra have a lot of black cotton soil. Soil constituents are significant because they have a direct impact on soil proportions, such as water quality, dry density, and shear strength. The main purpose of this project is to reduce the expansive property of black cotton soil which is collected from Village Malshiras District Solapur. A research is obtained to check the improvements in the properties of black cotton soil with Bagasse ash and GGBS in various percentages such as 0%, 5%, 10%, 15%.
