Abstract

An architecture school is the best place to learn and explore imagination. As architecture is a very creative field, it requires a creative campus and a good atmosphere to work, to learn and to enjoy. Being a student of one of the best design institutes helped me in thorough understanding of different aspects like belief, culture, attitudes, trends, pedagogy, etc. of this field of education. The study addresses the following: (a) a review of literature related to educational institution, campus architecture, design education, learning environment, and environmental psychology. (b) Case studies of design institutes in terms of its relationship of built environment to their learning philosophy, spatial elements defining character of space, the type of activities and human behavior that it can hold.
