Neha Padole, Shubhankar Kumar

Abstract

Industrialization, urbanisation, and modernization are all linked to socioeconomic growth, and this process of industrialization may result in a shift in land usage from traditional sustainable to contemporary non-sustainable. Land acquisition, resettlement, and rehabilitation in relation to the establishment of economic zones across India are depriving village communities of their source of livelihood, so it is important to focus on them and their various issues and problems. To enlighten the affected communities' issues, a socio-economic impact assessment will be conducted, which will support in the betterment of the community.

I've used the instance of Sez (Mihan), Nagpur, to demonstrate the socio-economic impact on project-affected villages. The research is about an in-depth investigation of social and economic changes, as well as different difficulties and challenges faced by the impacted people. The evaluation was done using the Udai Pareek's Scale to describe the status of individual villages.

  1. 1.      The research will be focused on project-affected villages;
  2. 2.      The current scenario will be evaluated; and
  3. 3.      The different repercussions that they have encountered and continue to face as a result of the Land Acquisition process will be discussed.

This research will serve as a template for future initiatives. The study is an attempt to enlighten the affected villages and issues that they have been dealing with for many years through these types of projects, as well as the kinds of consequences that the villagers have been dealing with, such as the kind of pressure that is hammering them and affecting their well-being and prudence.
