Twinkle Agarwal, Indrani Chakraborty, Subhrajit Banerjee

Abstract

Sanitation generally refers to the supply of facilities and services for the safe disposal of human urine and faeces. In this we have discussed about the low cost measures that could be taken for the sanitation process. The word 'sanitation' also refers to the upkeep of hygienic conditions, through services like garbage pickup and wastewater disposal. In this we will get to know about the challenges, facilities, technologies about the low cost sanitation methods. This means that the success of sanitation investments cannot be measured only in terms of physical outputs such as the number of toilets built or kilometers of sewer laid. Instead, the main target of attention should get on outcomes, primarily the utilization and maintenance of these facilities.
