Sakshi Aggarwal

Abstract

What if every single act of design and construction made the world a better place? A question well placed by the non-profit Living Future Institute, established in 2006, who intend to encourage the creation of regenerative built environment. The challenge is an attempt to raise the bar of building standards, with a positive contribution to the environment and minimal impact on the nature. This article is an attempt to enlighten the professionals about this certification program, which has not yet made its mark in the Indian building construction industry, but hopefully shall be here soon.
