Abstract

Art and Architecture have always been discussed conjointly but are not dealt with by many as a framework of the creation of a being whether a building or any mass. Architecture, which is always a part of art with a defined meaning and has logic behind it, is conceived within a set of parameters. The paper discusses the parameters to describe the various forms of art within architecture. It is a form of art which illustratively defines the form of architecture, its interaction in creating some principles of architecture and its emergence as a concept in the design-build. It reflects the abundant use of art in the older times and how it has delineated function to space and inculcated value, which is again a parameter to be considered upon dealing with art and architecture.
