Abstract

The drafting, study, and design of a building are the most critical phases in its construction and planning. The project that will be completed is the construction of a multi-story building that will be used as a home. According to the requirements and available space, the building plan was created using AutoCAD software. The ETABS programme was used to evaluate and construct the superstructure, or the building frame. A quantity takeoff is a detailed calculation of the materials and labour required to finish a construction project. To find these quantities, estimators study sketches and specifications. As a result, Quantity Takeoff Software is used for this reason. This research suggests a cost-benefit analysis. With the object knowledge, quantity take off calculates the quantity of formwork. The Industry Standard After obtaining physical shape information from the 3D-object, the Method of Measurement (SMM) estimates the quantity of formwork automatically. Second, using data mining techniques including the Decision Tree Model (DTM) and Case Based Reasoning, the logic of quantity estimation estimates the quantity of reinforcing bars (CBR). Information Gains (IG) of design attributes are evaluated to predict the quantity of reinforcing bars, and then the valid attributes are chosen as the parameters. By generating decision tree nodes, the parameters will statistically identify the quantity of reinforcing bars. Further manual measurements will be conducted using estimation techniques. The results of the estimation of a multi- story building structure when analysed manually and using QUANTITY TAKEOFF software are compared in this paper.
