Conserve the Heritage, Conserve the Culture

Abstract


The aim of the paper is to tell about the importance of heritage and culture of particular place. The broad concept which include cultural, traditional as well as the natural environment is called “heritage”. The collective memory of each area related to heritage is different and unique. The historic value, culture, tradition, architectural elements, principle of design in all the areas, cities are disappearing very fast due to neglect and decay or demolitions results in changing the specific characters of city centers, leading incongruent new modern constructions. The conservation of heritage and the tradition of modernism are not to be in opposition. The identity for search is expected a larger role is similar to urban development, bringing the social and economic growth. Conservation plays an important role to define the landmark within the heritage area as well as to generate economic return and to support the tourism industry. It is important because of providing a sense of identity and continuity in a fast changing world for future generations as well as awareness about their culture for future. It possesses historical values resulting from their beautiful architecture.
