Ashika Jain, Dr. Ankita Srivastava, Dr. Shashi Saxena

Abstract

Heritage is the inheritance of socio-economic cultural traditions and physical artifacts from past generations. It has been passed down to us and is a significant component of our Heritage sites and monuments that attract tourists, and the preservation and celebration of heritage create jobs and stimulate the local economy. One of the techniques to encourage the
local economy is adaptive reuse, one of the aspects of adaptive reuse is the economic aspect. Adaptive reuse offers a theoretical and logical framework for determining the economic worth of India's legacy. Historical sites in India are important cultural assets that demonstrate the country's different cultural traditions. As a result, cultural studies may help
us understand the cultural importance of historical institutions and their function in shaping cultural identity. In India, historic sites are famous tourist destinations, and tourism contributes greatly to their economic value. Thus, tourism research may help us understand the economic impact of tourism on historical monuments, as well as the factors that influence
tourist demand and behavior.
