Abstract

The basic concepts of the evaporative cooling method for human thermal comfort are presented in this paper. Due to increased population and urbanization, today's cities face energy and environmental challenges. In global energy and environmental scenarios, the manufacturing sector assumes a considerable amount of liability due to its high consumption rates. Air conditioners are used extensively to keep buildings cool. Thermal comfort is provided by mechanically powered devices that degrade the atmosphere through increased energy consumption. Building cooling systems that are both energy-efficient and environmentally sustainable are becoming increasingly important as a means of reducing environmental degradation. Adding green elements to any metropolitan area has been shown to be a successful technique with several benefits, including improving the city's environment and reducing urban heat. Terracotta tubes can reduce outdoor air temperature by 10°C and increase outdoor thermal comfort, according to this study. Since terracotta absorbs, reflects, and transmits solar radiation, and increases evapotranspiration, the properties of terracotta tubes may have a direct impact on the results of thermal comfort testing.
