Afferent Friendly Institutional Spaces for Intellectually Disabled Children

Abstract


A disability portrayed by critical impediments both in intellectual disabilities and in versatile conduct as communicated in calculated, social, and functional versatile aptitudes. The research paper emphases on improving the stability of the intellectually challenged by providing better guidelines to be incorporated while designing their spaces. The research focuses on obtaining data from existing documents and the norms. The major portion of the research includes the study of “Raphael” that is an educational centre and also the residence for the intellectually challenged children to understand the current scenario. Comparison of the bylaws and the case study, figuring out the current issues and recommending the changes that should be incorporated in the design strategy. To study the measures taken to provide the users a friendly atmosphere and its impact to the intellectually challenged. The research is surrounded around the study of Raphael home but it cannot bring in changes to it and also to the byelaws. Proposing changes and coin out the issues in the present spaces designed for the children. The research methodology is carried out by the means of interviews, case study and surveys. The research works on the creation of better behavioral spaces for the intellectually disabled and studying the requirements of the spaces that should be provided.
