Parking Management Plan for Old Washermanpet, Chennai, India

Abstract


This project is to avoid congestion in the parking area by implementing a parking management system. Mainly in Public places such as market areas, hospitals, function-halls, offices, shopping malls, and Commercial hotspot areas. Old Washermanpet is a very busy commercial shopping area, comprising of various shopping complexes of electronic goods, household goods, clothes, jewelry, etc. Due to the non-availability of a specific parking area, they keep their vehicles along the side of the road in front of Shop’s and various activities associated with the shopping and pose traffic problems. Hence the provision of a specified and safe place for vehicle parking in the area is necessary.
