Slum Scenario of the city of Taj: A Case Study of Agra City
Abstract
India is known for its prevalence of urban slums. India's slum population is growing at an alarming rate, doubling in the last 20 years. As per Census 2001, Considering Agra’s Housing Scenario the total number of households were 2,09,997 with the average family size of 6 Agra Master Plan 2021 shows 4,50,000 households with a family size of 5. Currently the city has 1,99,497 units of residences
with a deficit of 16585 units. In my research paper, I have depicted the housing scenario of Agra focusing upon the condition of slums.
