A Sustainable Construction–A Study of Eco-Friendly Building Materials

Ahamed Fazeel Akram

Abstract

There are various problems raising in construction Industry due to leading of urbanization. In India, lot of energy, resources and raw materials are being consumed in demand of houses which may lead to the carbon content in air. This process is so harmful to the environment and will affect the human as well. Therefore, we need to make use of sustainable and harm free materials for the construction process so as to reduce the impact on environment. In cities like Madurai, the change in weather patterns like hotter summer, shorter winter and insufficient monsoons are noticed. It’s obvious that the city’s ecology has to be taken into consideration and the consumption of energy resources should be fairly used. Hence the developers have to find some perfect method in order to protect our environment from any negative aftermaths. The sustainable materials are mostly feasible and viable. Therefore, it is eco–friendly and can lead to a better tomorrow. Concerning about all these negative aspects, this paper holds the content of five green construction materials with both the boons and banes, durability and economical aspects in construction industry which can be an effective material for conventional materials.
