An Interpretation in Convergent of Adaptation Action Plan on Climate Change Health Sector

Deepti Pande Rana, Manisha Kidwia

Abstract

Climate change is a pressing challenge. It affects the social, environmental and health aspects of the human community. The effects of climate change and related disasters on businesses are equally important. Climate change is affecting our entire existence from impacting the global cycles to food & water security. The emphasis at policy planning and ground actions in India has been relatively insignificant. These are the gaps in calls knowledge and capacity. National Action Plan on Climate Change (NAPCC) to address the Paris Climate Agreement and other related obligations also calls for integration with Sendai Framework of Disaster Risk Reduction and the Sustainable Development Goals. The aim of this research paper is to share a roadmap for addressing the climate related health impacts and promoting knowledge and experience sharing through case studies, discussing policies, research and capacity issues and understanding the approaches and tools for assessments and planning.
