Analysis to Retrofit Existing Building to Energy Efficiency Building: Buildings from Non-efficient to Efficient

Abstract


Energy efficiency is an element to reduce energy consumption. Apart from the reduction, it can result in improving environmental quality and on a large scale, energy efficiency is an element of energy policy which leads to higher savings. It often takes the advantages of available renewable resources like generate electricity through sunlight, using plants and trees for vertical and roof gardening. Other approaches are used such as using low impact building materials, aluminum-based paints, and other cross-ventilators to increase the efficiency of the building. By applying these techniques to the non-efficient building, we can check the reduction of energy consumption by using energy simulation software which compares and analyze the energy usage of the building. The study focuses on the advantageous results once the non-efficient building is converted to efficient building.
