Decoding SDGs from Indian Disaster Management Perspectives

Abstract


The paper presents the research about understanding the role of sustainable development goals in making India disaster resilience with effective disaster management mechanism. The approval of SDGs is supposed to bring a paramount change in ground realities in the way the urban sustainability and urban functioning takes place in Indian cities. This research takes into account the critical overview of SDGs primarily targeting the urban growth and implementation of development polices in Indian cities. The paper is intended establish interconnection between the sustainable development goals from the disaster management approach in connection with enhancing the disaster risk reduction sustaining the development and resiliency.
