Abstract

Bio- degradation of electronic and hazardous waste has increased technical consciousness for expert fabrication and use of electronic materials without polluting users and maximizing benefits of society. Suggestions have been to use minimum toxic chemicals, recycling of products and reduction in waste formation of mixes in huge order. These have reduced costs, conserved energy and cut down on waste. Tips to achieve goal have been keep oneself informed about new policies that affect our environment, consume less with motto of reduction in refuse by reuse, say ‘No’ to plastic bags but carry cloth shopping bag, separate garbage i.e. biodegradable from nonbiodegradable, compost organic waste in vermiculture bin to produce manure, stop burning garbage to reduce toxic pollutant of plastics. Toxic pollutants have associated risk of recycling or reuse of e-waste. Disposing e-waste in sea has associated long term risk of aquatic life. Disposing in landfills has associated risk of soil pollution for long duration. Disposing by burning has produced toxic gas emissions to harm atmosphere. Reevaluation of elements in e-waste has associated risk of industrial pollution supposed to be multi-beneficiation processing of many elements under stringent pollution controls.
