Study of Air Pollution Tolerance Index of Plants Growing in Malampuzha, Palakkad

S. Sreeremya

Abstract

Major pollutions are a resultant effect of the anthropogenic activity. Similarly air pollution is also due to the plethora of the usage of vehicles, and other electronic equipment, which contributes to air pollution. Malampuzha (10.8302° N, 76.6809° E), located in the region of lower hill of Western Ghats makes the place a key region of enhanced biodiversity. The study here focuses on whether the plants in this region is affected by air pollution, if so the concentration of air pollution tolerance of plants.
