Isolation of Bacterial Flora from Municipal Solid Waste Collected from Palakkad Municipality

S. Sreeremya

Abstract

Due to industrialization, the advancement of new technologies has paved the way for the increase in dumping of waste. The waste dumped areas create several problems, in the current study there are several pathogens especially bacterial flora isolated from the Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) from Palakkad Municipality. One Gram positive bacteria especially Bacillus sp and five gram negative bacteria species were isolated from the sample.
