Architects Approach on Issues of Prefabrication and Deconstruction and Their Prospects in Construction Industry

Abstract

Prefabrication and demolition have been popular words in the construction industry but unfortunately they are not widely accepted and practiced. This paper explores the two concepts in detail with respect to their practices. The study further extends towards investigating the national as well as international approach adopted by the architects towards the prefabrication and demolition issues and the suggestions for prospects ahead. The study also suggests for their prospects as sustainability promoters in Indian construction industry.
