Sukriti Dogra, Aditi Sharma, Shruti H. Kapoor

Abstract

The goal of the current paper is to explore the options and concepts regarding habitation on the planet Mars. The exploration and colonization of the universe, possible with contemporary technologies, are the reason to conduct scientific researches in the different fields of science and engineering. In the near future (2026–2030), organizations like ‘Space X’ plan to send human beings on Mars. This opens up a huge demand for the livable areas and shelters for the people who will be living and working there. Construction on mars is the future and it holds a great scope for the research and development of design ideas on how a colony can be developed on Mars.
