Shivya Sharma, Ankur Sharma, Aanchal Sharma

Abstract

This research paper explores the positive impact of your residential built spaces in combating daily stress in youth (18–23 years) in a low-budget exposure. Stress occupies the major chunk in a student’s life due to the stress of grades, deadlines, career decisions, etc. But, it’s not only the stress that makes you more anxious or sad about the whole situation but the surrounding which you are living in. Your built spaces (residential) can have a high positive or negative impact on your brainwaves and behavioral pattern and can further help you improve or degrade your psychological health in a long run. This research paper includes a descriptive study of case studies of students, entrepreneurs, people indulged in business falling under the age constraint of the research along with a survey which includes the current stress scenario of the students of the DIT University. Research showed two different perspectives when it came to be distinguishing between students pursuing different professional fields. It is quite shocking to know that people with high-stress levels are more receptive to the type of environment or surroundings they are living in than the people with low stress levels. This study is focusing on the low-budget aspects of residential built spaces because of the age constraints and age group this study is associated with. As a conclusion, this research focuses on proposing a design module which is based on low-budget psychological transformation of spaces.
