Study of Air Pollution Tolerance Index of Plants Growing in Kanjikode Highway Region, Palakkad

Abstract


The pollutions which cause deleterious effects are a resultant effect of the anthropogenic activity. Air pollution is also due to the plethora of the usage of vehicles and other electronic equipment, which contributes to air pollution. Kanjikode (10.7993° N, 76.7521° E) is an industrial area located in the Pudussery Panchayath in Palakkad district of Kerala. The study here focuses on whether the plants in this region is affected by air pollution, if so the concentration of air pollution tolerance of plants.
