Design of Intze Tank Using Computer Aided Software

Ayush Gaurav, Karnveer Singh, Nirman Singh

Abstract

Capacity supplies and overhead tank are utilized to store water, fluid oil, oil based commodities and comparable fluids. Water tanks are design on the basis of peak water demand of the area so using population forecasting for futuristic designs and peak demand of water capacity of these service reservoir is determined. The power examination of the supplies or tanks is about the equivalent independent of the concoction idea of the item. All tanks are planned as break free structures to dispose of any spillage. This project gives in brief, the theory behind the design of liquid retaining structure (Intze type tank) using working stress method. Complete formulation for various elements of tank has been recorded for manual checks. This report includes computer subroutines to analyse and design of Intze type tank which includes drawing in AutoCAD, programming in Matlab for the complete design of Intze type tank comply with Indian Standard codes and with PHED field design reports of tank and thorough analysis has been done through STAAD. Pro software for verifying the result through MATLAB Programming.
